Daewoo is a car company in South Korea (Daewoo Іndustrіal), which was founded by Kim Woo Chong in 1967. He is considered to be the author of such not modest name and simple logo. The fact that the translation of Daewoo from Korean (대우 / 大宇) means a “Great Universe” and the logo – it is a symbolization of a seashell.

But some motorists believe that it is more like a lotus flower.

There is also an alternative version of the logo idea, which sounds more plausible. Experts have noticed a great similarity between the logo and heraldic lily – fleur de lys (France – “Lily flower”). In addition, the lily symbolizes the greatness, purity and innocence, which corresponds to the company name.

Since the establishment of Daewoo, its logo remained the same – silver “flower” or “shell”, under which there is the name of the brand in dark blue.
