Logo Subaru this is an image of the night sky (dark blue background of the logo) with six chrome-plated four-pointed stars of the Pleiades (Taurus), which can be seen without a telescope. This pattern was chosen due to the company name, “Subaru” in Japanese is called “Pleiades”, it also means “to unite” or “to come together”, which reveals another meaning of the logo and name. Subaru “parent” was concern Fujі Neavu Іndustrіes ltd. (FNІ), which was formed in 1953 in Hiroshima by combining six companies. The first car was released in 1954 and, accordingly, first Subaru logo was introduced.

It is worth noting that the author of the name is the first president of Kenji Kіta Company, who wanted that the Japanese car was called in Japanese. He chose the favorite constellation of the Japanese since ancient times. In the end, this is the first Japanese car company which used its native language in the title. Also, “subaru” is similar in sound to the Japanese word “mіtsuraboshі”, which means “six stars”, it is the name of the constellation which was used in the old documentation and literature.

AT the beginning the stars in the logo were symbolically repeated the placement of stars in the sky, but with the lapse of time this scheme was abandoned and now we see a big star and five small stars on its right.
